Transportation Overview

Our buses serve both the Primary and Upper Academy campuses, allowing siblings attending different campuses to ride together to and from school. Additionally, we offer a campus shuttle that runs between the two locations in both the morning and afternoon, making it easy for scholars to walk to one campus and ride the shuttle to the other. If you don’t see a bus stop near your home, please reach out to us—we’re happy to explore options to better support your family’s transportation needs.

Bus Policy Overview

Tulsa Legacy Charter School (TLCS) provides safe and free transportation for eligible scholars through DS Bus Lines. Bus ridership is a privilege, and all scholars are expected to follow school-wide behavior expectations while on school-provided transportation.

Rules include remaining seated facing forward, using quiet voices, not eating or drinking on the bus, and showing respect to all individuals on board. Repeated or serious misbehavior can lead to consequences ranging from in-school discipline to suspension of bus privileges. The Dean of Culture or Principal handles behavioral incidents, and parents are responsible for transporting scholars who lose bus access.

Only authorized individuals may board buses, and all transportation changes must be communicated to the school office by noon. In the absence of a known adult at the bus stop, the scholar may be returned to school or the bus depot, and repeated delivery issues may result in revoked privileges. In such cases, TLCS or DS Bus Lines will contact parents or emergency contacts, and may involve authorities if the scholar remains uncollected after 4:45 PM.
