Tulsa Legacy Charter School (TLCS) began its journey in 2012, originally opening its doors as Tulsa Lighthouse Charter School. In 2016, the school became an independent charter district, reestablishing itself as Tulsa Legacy Charter School while proudly retaining the initials "TLCS".

Since then, TLCS has continued to grow and evolve to meet the changing needs of its scholars and the North Tulsa community. In 2024, the district refreshed its mission and vision to better align with its current direction and goals. While the school has moved away from its original arts-infused model, its unwavering commitment to academic excellence and holistic development remains at the heart of everything it does.

Today, TLCS serves as a beacon for education, equity, and opportunity—empowering scholars to thrive both inside and outside the classroom.

Mission

Tulsa Legacy Charter School (TLCS) exists to provide a safe, inclusive environment with equal access to high-quality education, fostering academic excellence, curiosity, and choice-filled lives for every scholar and family.
